A fond farewell to the Greens 

This week sees the departure of long standing members, Phil and Yvonne Green. The ladies section put together a leaving competition with a bit of food a drink afterwards. Thanks to Pat Moston for arranging the evening. Phil and Yvonne are leaving for a new life in Florida, for which they have been dreaming of for a number of years now. 

They have both been members here in excess of 10 years and the club and members wish them all the best for the future. 

They will be missed by all but I am sure we will see them again on our fairways really soon! 

   




Sue Phillipon Stableford results - Saturday 20th June

Congratulations to Anita McAleese on her win in the Sue Phillipon Stableford competition this last weekend. Anita has often told us in the pro shop how she struggles to take her match play game into individual stroke play competitions and was really getting herself down with getting 0.1 shots back every week, so it is great to see the delight on her face after finally putting a score together we all know she is capable of. Well done Anita!! 

Anita's 40 points has resulted in her dropping a full shot from 24.4 to 23.2. Well done to Rita, Jill and Sue for putting really good scores together in, what at times, were terrible weather conditions.

Reminder: Men's Kingfisher Trophy - Saturday 27th June 

This Saturday sees the next instalment of 'Major' season, just a quick reminder that this competition is a 2 man Texas scramble competition. Anyone who has their name down on a tee time please let the shop know as soon as possible if you are unable to play so anyone looking to play can get a game. Also a reminder that members need 5 competition cards in this calendar year to be eligible to win the trophy.


Team Updates 

The men's handicap team are still on the winning trail and keep up their 100% winning record this season with a 3-2 win at home over Fleetwood on Tuesday night. But unbelievably they find themselves in 2nd place in the table on win difference! I am sure if they keep up this form, then it is only a matter of time before they hit top spot again. 

The men's seniors team have also had a good start to the season, see below week 9 results and updated league table.
