Just a quick reminder that with the clocks going forward this Sunday morning at 2am, the twilight rate for DVC members will start from 3pm everyday from Tuesday 1st April
The APOS Trophy
As mentioned in this newsletter a couple of weeks ago, this past weekend saw the inaugural APOS Trophy, a captains challenge comprising of 12 of Mr Captain's picks vs 12 of Mrs Captain's picks squaring off in a Ryder Cup style challenge.
Everyone entered into the spirit of things (some a little too much, Dave Page!) with a very vibrant tangerine men's team uniform and a lovely pink for the ladies. The men were ultimately victorious 5.5 to 1.5 with Pat Moston & Elaine Bullock victorious for the ladies and Yvonne Green and Janis Smith getting a credible draw.
The biggest story of the day other than the result was Graham Smith nearly getting a hole in one and proceeding to 3 putt from 3 feet for a bogey 4! Think it might be time for a putting lesson Graham.
Another £80 was added to Steve and Sue's charity fund raising pot for the year and after this weekend's Captain's Farewell we will have an update and final total for the year. Tee times are still available for this Saturday's Captain's Farewell call us on 01253 832505 to get booked in and celebrate a fantastic year with Sue and Steve. If you cannot make the golf but you would like to support the Captains in there final event, then there will be a prize presentation and a handover of Captaincy from Steve O'Keeffe to Graham Smith and Sue Doel to Gail Neville. This will be performed in the Inspiration Bar from approx 3.30pm, all members welcome.

Mini Shop Refurbishment
Those of you who have visited the shop this week will have noticed we are currently under going a mini shop refurbishment.
