Blue Tee Texas Scramble Event

A very rare phenomenon occurred on Saturday at Herons' Reach Golf Resort; we had three of the exact same scores come in a Texas Scramble event, the winner was decided with a card playoff. Congratulations to the team of Justin Hatcher, Norman Heywood, Geoff Davidson and Jim Moseley on piping the teams of Pete Lord, Jeff Park, Steve Johnson, Colin MacDonald who finished 2nd and Steve Marshall, Dave Greaves and our very own Matt Mustow and Paul Heaton who were beaten into 3rd place.

With three great scores of 61.6, giving a 12.4 under par total from the Championship tees all three teams played tremendously well in tough conditions and all should be proud of their great play. A special mention to the 4th place team of Steve Richardson, Steve Lynn, John Cardwell and Andy Miller who finished just 0.2 of a shot outside the prizes, and would have taken the top prize had John's birdie putt on the tough par 3 16th hole found the bottom of the cup and not the lip. Commiserations chaps!!

Trinity Hospice Trophy - This Saturday

A quick reminder that this Saturday (30th) is the Trinity Hospice Trophy competition. The tee sheet is still open for entries and there are a few slots still available so it would be great if we could get as many members as possible in this event to support this fantastic charity and all the work that they do.

Saturday 13th June - Captains' Day 
Saturday 27th June - Kingfisher Trophy (Pairs Event) 
Saturday 11th July - Club Championship - Round 1 
Sunday 12th July - Club Championship - Round 2 
Saturday 25th July - Ferguson Trophy (Pairs Event)

The tee sheet is open for full members for Captains Day now and for all Herons' Club members from 8am Tuesday 2nd June. 

Kingfisher Trophy bookings for Saturday 27th June will be taken from this coming Saturday 30th May, find a willing and able partner and please book as usual through the golf shop.
