Greeting golfers,
Well what a week of golf, starting with Rory winning at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic for a second time coinciding with Nike's launch of the new Vapor range and Brooks Koepka taking advantage of a poor couple of final holes from Scotland's Martin Laird to win in Phoenix. But the story that overshadowed all of that in the media was the terrible return of Tiger Woods. His worst round as a professional culminated in a score of 82.
What we can learn from Tigers struggles
Tiger Woods made his first start of the 2015 season last week and to say it didn't go to plan is probably an understatement. His short game is still not where it needs to be but it was his swing that caused more concern.
He is still in the first stages of working with a new coach and clearly not that comfortable with what they are working on. As a result he hit many poor shots which led to missed greens and more pressure on his short game; all in all it contributed to a missed cut and his highest score as a professional.
What we can all learn though is, despite his struggles, he is committed to the new swing and will continue to work hard. I am sure that he will get more comfortable with things and start hitting more good shots, helping him to win events and get back to the top of the game.
Even if our results aren't immediate stick with what you're working on and you will improve and shoot better scores.
We would love to hear from you. Do you think Tiger will return to the top of the game? And if not why not?

Nike Vapor Launch week
Vapor fever has certainly hit Herons' Reach and the Vapor range has been flying off the shelf.
The interest has been huge with golfers desperate to try the new drivers, fairway wood, hybrids and irons. This past weekend saw members and visitors alike keen to be the first to try the new product. We have seen some big yardage gains with the Vapor Speed driver over their current clubs while Vapor Pro Combo irons have been popular for golfers looking to combine performance with more feel. The Nike Vapor Pro driver has also been popular on the back of another Rory McIlroy victory and despite Tiger's struggles last week everyone noticed he had put the new clubs in; and anyone who knows golf, knows that Tiger does not change clubs very often at all.
