Greetings Golfers,
Well with the torrid weather over the last few days it has been good to see some brave souls getting out on the course still. For those of you who are not so brave; don't forget about the covered floodlit driving range at your disposal 7 days a week, 365 days a year!!
Next time your around the club why not pop in the shop and ask us how to save over 35% on baskets of balls and if you produce your membership card that saving can increase to nearly 45%. It takes just two minutes of your time and will save you lots of £££.
First of all this week a word from head greenkeeper Sean Winters;
'Let me start by saying a Happy New Year from myself and the greens team, we hope you have a great golfing year ahead.
I would also like to thank the members and their guests for your patience on the bunker renovation by the 10th green. We are very close to finishing it, but the weather beat us. Once we can get the proper vehicles out there, we can turf the area and get the hole fully open. We expect this to happen by the end of January.
Other course works that we anticipate doing over the next 6 weeks, subject to weather conditions, are:
Further bunker renovation on the 10th hole, with the 3 fairway bunkers to the right of the 10th fairway getting reshaped and new drainage going in.
Re-turf of the area next to the 10th tee, where we have taken the stones out, so that golfers do not need to play from out of the stoned area anymore.
White 3rd tee renovation - Turn the tee around 90 degrees, making for a wider tee box. Also re-position so the tee faces the centre of the fairway.
Remedial works, such as tree pruning and green treatment as where necessary during the remaining winter months.
Here is to a great 2015 season, where we hope the weather will be as kind to us as 2014 was. I will post another update in the Springtime. Many thanks for your continued support.

Another success story
You may have read last week about the launch of the new TaylorMade R15 and AeroBurner. Well it didn't take long for someone to walk away with one. After gaining 46 YARDS, (yes that does say 46) over last year's model one lucky gentleman just made par 4's and 5's a lot easier.
After spending just half an hour with our head teaching professional Ali Taylor, in the custom fit suite using FlightScope he walked away with a brand new AeroBurner driver. To watch Ali's review of all the new TaylorMade range please follow the links below.
Nike Vapor Range
On the 31st January Nike will be launching the most eagerly awaited golf clubs they have ever produced, the Nike Vapor range. With 3 drivers and 3 sets of irons Nike will have something to suit any golfer, helping them to play their best golf. The clubs have already had great success with Tour professionals with Rory McIlroy putting the Vapor Pro driver straight into the bag for the Ryder Cup. Keep an eye on the newsletter over the next couple of weeks for our review videos of the new drivers and irons.
