Thank you

I am sure you will all agree that the course has stood up remarkably well over the last couple of months and you have all played your part by replacing divots and pitch marks. We have also noticed that more people are following the idea that roped off areas are to be avoided so we thank you for all that.

Farewell, Chris

It is with regret that we have to inform you that Chris our retail manager is leaving us very shortly. We would like to thank him and wish him all the best for the future.

We will be selling our fleet of Motocaddy electric trollies off in the New Year. These have an extended life battery and charger included at £250. This will be based on a first come first serve basis so register your interest as soon as possible in the shop.

Stop guessing...

We have had 3 people testing products over the last week or so with some interesting results.
Firstly Matt Prance tried the new TaylorMade P790 irons against his Speedblade irons and he saw an increase in distance and improved dispersion. When we changed the shaft spec this worked out at over a club further on average.

Then James Blaney compared the latest PING i blade and i500 forged irons alongside the P790. Again when we changed the shaft spec there was an increase in distance a more consistent strike and better dispersion with the i500 forged but the others had no improvement over his current G400 irons.

Our Captain has also tried out both the M6 and G410 irons alongside his current M4 and actually saw a worse result with both compared to his. the distance was not as good and although his dispersion with the G410 was better it was a club shorter than the M4.

So when you read the reviews online about how good certain products are we would always say don't believe what you read, the only way is to try them and see for yourself. Speak to us about how you can test clubs for free.

How times have changed

We've got a little task for you. Next time you're down the club on a busy day, have a look around and count how many golfers are using an electric trolley compared to those that aren't. We think the number might surprise you...
