Hello golfers, how great has the weather been this weekend? Have fun reading this weeks newsletter.
With the weather taking a long awaited turn for the better lately, it has been good to see more and more of you back out on the course. And with the weather set fair for the week we should hopefully see the course dry up quickly and get back to those fast and firm summer conditions we all know and love.
One member who is enjoying his golf after a mid winters break is Steve Lynn. Steve was lucky enough to have his first hole in one last Sunday, it came on the fearsome 16th hole and Steve used a 9 iron.
Speaking to Steve afterwards he told how the ball pitched inches behind the hole and he thought it had disappeared off the back of the green only to find it nestled in the bottom of the cup after spinning back into the bottom of the hole.
Congratulations to Steve and what a great way to start the golfing season.
The Green Monster
You saw the best players struggle when the Blue Monster at Doral bared its teeth this past weekend but now the shop has its very own Green Monster collection from Nike. The collection is the perfect addition to any golfer's wardrobe and we sold our first pair of pants before they had even been displayed in the shop.
The green certainly stands out and everyone who has seen it has commented on how nice the green is and with the first major of the year 'The Masters' fast approaching what better way to start the new golfing year than some new Nike clothing.
It has been a busy week in the shop with new summer ranges arriving all the time. At one point the shop was beginning to resemble Tesco's with all the boxes. The new adidas collection has already arrived and with Ashworth, FootJoy and Galvin Green all soon to follow we will again have a fully stocked shop for all your golfing needs.
We have a Nike demo day on Thursday 20th March from 2pm - 6pm. To come and try any of the new Covert 2.0 drivers, fairways, hybrids and irons.
Call the shop on 01253 832505 or click here to book your fitting slot.
There were some fantastic scores this week in the Stableford.
Cogratulations go to Lee S Hallworth for his win on 41 points. Only narrowly beating Duncan Whitehead, I Bullock, J Hatcher and N Heywood who all shared 2nd place with 40 points.
