Shop news

PING Demo Day - Wednesday 28th August

On Wednesday 28th August we will be having a visit from PING. This is a great opportunity to come down and test out the latest equipment from PING including the G410 range of woods!

Slots will run from 2 pm - 6 pm bookings now being taken in the golf shop. This will be very popular and places are limited so early booking essential.

Change in conditions means a change in shot

After all the lovely dry weather we are now in the middle of a very wet spell and all the run you were getting has stopped. You can now start throwing the ball back up to the flag and see it stop. The same when pitching. The greens are also a bit slower with the wet conditions so you can be a bit more aggressive with the putts.

No distractions

It's not always easy to get in the zone or feel completely comfortable over the ball so, when you do, the last thing you need is to look down and be distracted by your shoes. Variety is the spice of life

Whatever happened to having a ‘textbook’ swing? If you were to watch golf on TV you’d see all sorts of different swings that have propelled these golfers to the top of the world, and the same can be said on the greens too.

TaylorMade Spider X putter

There's definitely no single approach when it comes to how you grip your putter. You have a more traditional no-fuss approach that is favoured by the likes of Tiger Woods; a left-below-right grip which is a recent craze made famous by Jordan Spieth's putting heroics; and then the opposite extreme in anchoring that has recently been banned by the R&A.
