PING launches the new G410 range

As you have probably seen most leading brands have been busy launching new clubs these last few weeks. It’s now the turn of PING who have just released the G410 range.

The new G410 irons are the perfect iron for any golfer looking to hit more greens thanks to new weighting structure in the toe and heel of the club. This new weighting creates a very stable clubhead that will give powerful ball flights with great stopping power into greens.

Coming soon: Callaway Epic Flash

This time two years ago, we were sitting here in fascination as Callaway introduced Jailbreak Technology for the very first time. Safe to say that the Epic driver was exactly that - epic - and produced major distance gains for the majority of golfers who were custom fitted for one. Fast forward to now and Callaway is bringing Epic Flash to market, which they say has a 'radically different face design' that will promote faster ball speeds and, in turn, greater distance.

Titleist Demo Day - Tuesday 29th January

On Tuesday 29th January we will be hosting a Titleist Demo Day. This will give you a chance to test out the TS family that seems to be making a lot of noise around the golfing world.

The day will be running from 2 - 6pm and there is no need to book, just turn up when you want and have a go with the latest gear for 2019!

Tour news

A tense final hole...

It was a shock win for world number 417 Adam Long, as the American claimed his maiden PGA Tour title at the Desert Classic in California. A bogey-free card for Long – in what was only his sixth tour event – led to a final round of 65, finishing on 26 under.

He fought off stiff competition from the considerably more experienced Phil Mickelson, who was left ruing a lack of composure on the greens, as he finished one shot behind Long. Mickelson had carded an opening round of 60 – his best ever round on tour – but he failed to cling on to his lead as Long claimed a well-deserved victory.

On the European Tour, it was an equally nerve-wracking end in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, with Shane Lowry emerging victorious by one shot over South African Richard Sterne. It was the first victory on tour for Lowry since August 2015, and signals a return to form for the Irishman. A test of nerve was required with both Lowry and Sterne level on the 18th tee, but Lowry’s birdie at the last sealed the win.
