Club Championship - 26th and 27th July 

With the Club Championship just around the corner I thought it would be a good chance to remind everyone of the format and rules for the 2 day event. 

Please remember to book tee times in the Pro shop for Saturday, and please note that you must have handed in 5 qualifying cards from the 2014 season to be eligible to win prizes (NR's do not count).

The format on Saturday is booking and signing in as usual, paying the entry fee. Then, dependant on your score, you will be given a tee time for Sunday by the competitions committee or a member of staff. This will be between 7am and 12pm on Sunday. The leading scores (gross & nett) will go out together as the last pairings. Booking windows and reduced green fees (if applicable), will apply to the following member categories 
- 7 day members - 4 weeks window, no additional fee 
- 5 day members - 2 weeks window, £10 green fee per day 
- DVC members - 11 day window. £10 green fee per day, or use appropriate points 
- Season Ticket - not eligible 

Please note that the reduced green fees will need to be paid for both days upon signing in on Saturday, as will points (16 points will be charged on Saturday). And the £10 competition entry fee is additional to any reduced green fees paid. There will be a prize presentation on Sunday afternoon, so your attendance after your round to watch this and a few celebratory beverages for any luck winners would be greatly appreciated. With the biggest week in the golfing calendar upon us, we have been running a sweepstake in the pro shop and we still have a few names left including some biggies! 

Don't forget for just £2 a player or 3 players for £5, you could win a selection of prizes including a Nike Covert Driver! 

Hopefully with the Open only being about an hour away from sunny Blackpool, some of you have had the chance to go to the practice days or are going to the championship days, but if not, we will have all the BBC coverage on in the pro shop while you check in to play golf or come shopping for some new clothing or clubs.
