New Till System Installation
Some of you may have noticed that a few of us were missing from the shop last week, well that's because we were 'in training'.
But don't worry we are not running any marathons or making any Rocky style leaps into a boxing ring we were been trained up on our new EPOS till system. The brand new Crossover EPOS system we are hoping will revolutionise the service we provide to you, the products we buy in to the shop and also the speed in which we can serve you at the till point. We have a lot of plans in place with ways in which to enrich our service to you. These will be rolled out over the coming weeks and months and as ever, we will keep you up to date in the newsletter.
And keep your eyes out for news on a new Tee Time booking system coming before Christmas…but keep that one quiet from the boss as it is supposed to be a secret!!
PING was the winner this week!!
Sunday was a cold day down on the range but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of one golfer who came for a fairway wood fitting in the Custom Fitting Suite. Looking to plug the gap between his current 3 wood and a hybrid we started with the PING G fairway wood, as this was the manufacturer the golfer was comfortable with.
When after the first shot the golfer shouts 'wow' and looks at me opened mouthed and flabbergasted as the first shot sails dead straight down the driving range we knew we had found a winner almost immediately. But to be diligent we tried all the options and although one competitors 5 wood actually hit the ball further than the PING; it was in actual fact 'too far' as it was too close to his 3 wood therefore not plugging the gap we were looking to. After discussing the benefits of each club we settled on the PING G as this offered loft adjustability (which the competitor did not), the golfer felt it was effortless when swinging and he liked the look of it behind the ball that little bit more.
