Senior team on the brink of glory….
As reported in our previous newsletters, the men's' team this year have done extremely well in their respective leagues. So with the handicap team all finished, except for the end of season Rose Bowl at Royal Lytham in September, the spotlight now turns to the senior team.
With 2 games to go in the league, our boys play Green Drive away on Friday, with the probability of just a draw needed to take them to league winners, by virtue that Green Drive are currently in 2nd place as it stands. Good luck gents', and I will report their result next week.
Blue Tee Trophy - Saturday 27 August
Don't forget to book yourselves in for our annual Bank Holiday "Blue Tee" Competition, where you all get to experience the course from the very back tees! I have been gentle on you and made it an individual Stableford event though! With the course playing nearly 800 yards longer than the white course, it is a true test for all golfing abilities, with some grateful it is only once a year!! But it is a great event to enter, as the blue tees only come out twice a year. Test yourself against our very own blue monster!

Captains Select XII Vs Seniors Select XII
Our Captain, Allen Artis is looking for members who are available on Friday 7th October to come and be part of his team to play against a senior member's team. Looking for 12 to 16 players per team with 1st tee scheduled for 1pm.
There will be Tea & Coffee available from 12pm with a one course meal served around 5.30pm in the Public House. It will be a doubles matchplay betterball format with 9/10ths difference from the lowest player. Cost will be just £3pp as this will be subsidised by the men's and senior's section funds. We already have names down and its filling fast!
