As the weather starts to improve (fingers crossed!) we have been out improving the course and practice areas, and we have also installed a starters hut by the 1st tee, which will give it a more traditional feel and make better use of the space by the 1st tee.
As you can also see, we have taken out all of the trees and foliage to the left of the 1st hole, which gives a far better view from the tee, especially the back tee.
New trees have been planted there to give a more uniformed effect.
We have also installed a new bunkers on the practice green, and re-shaped the existing practice bunker too. This will mean that in a few weeks, you will have 2 bunkers to practice out of, with differing depths.
We are also going to lift the complete trolley ban from the morning of Saturday 27th February 2016. Please note, this isn't a complete trolley "lift" as we will still be using trolleys with hedgehog wheels and motocaddies with winter wheels. Despite the drier weather, there are still some very wet areas on the course, so please observe the barriers, especially around the greens and respect that we do this to keep the course in its best possible condition.
Our Head Pro Alastair has been reviewing the largest growing driver range of the past 5 years. PING has done some outstanding things with their drivers without feeling the need for slide bars and lie angle adjusters. The new G driver from Ping is of the same mould and has been proving very popular in 2016 already. See what Alastair thought of this below -
The New PING G driver with Dragon Fly technology
The G driver has ultra thin sections on the crown of the clubhead in the same pattern as dragonfly wings. PING is then able to redistribute the weight around the head for maximum forgiveness, creating their longest most forgiving driver ever.
Available in three models to fit your preferred trajectory. Watch my video for further information or call the Golf Shop on 01253832505 to book your fitting today.
